With over twenty years of experience in IT training and Instructional Technology, I continue to draw from my experience as a certified teacher since 2002 providing classroom instruction and training to adults in both an online and offline setting.
My career started upon graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College, where I worked on Technology Projects throughout New York City. Upon completing a Master’s program in Education from Pace University I embarked in a career in Elementary Education in the New York City Board of Education. In this role, I taught public school for four years. Later I relocated to Northern Virginia where I continued my career as an Instructional Technology Coach.
Over the past 18 years I have been supporting students and faculty to reach their academic goals in all subject areas while integrating emerging technologies. As a lead trainer, I have created training materials and facilitated staff workshops, conducted software training, general technology support and best practices for both teachers and administrators for on-site learning.
A key project I was involved in consisted of developing a series of online workshops for college students to obtain new skills. This project expanded my attributes, namely independent thinking, communicating complicated concepts and being a self-starter. The results of the workshops helped the students enhance their skills and to achieve their academic goals. I developed the curriculum through collaboration with key stakeholders by translating the concepts from the offline format to online learning.
Currently, I actively partner with educators, administrators, entrepreneurs and CEO’s to assist them in developing workshops and training materials to their respective audiences.
